Here's the one song I didn't write.

My great friend Joe Mahoney wrote this when we were back in the days of The Exploding Pioneers. Or was it a little later when Frank Drake was a band name? Back when the road seem boundless, in any case.

It's a great song. It conjures up so much: so much that Joe and I have traveled through. Too much to even hint at here.

Also: part of what I wanted to capture with this CD was the great vibe at the Sunday show I do at the Plough and Sally's . I've been playing this song since I started those gigs up. And it just needed to be recorded and sent out into the world to make friends.

Thanks Joe!

Joanna Jubilee

Ah Joanna can't you see
In the morning you're my jubilee
Honey, I ain't got much to live for
You ain't certain but I can see
If you ain't nothing, there's nothing to be
Honey, I ain't got much to live for

When I start thinking back again
On the road that seemed so boundless
Well there ain't much that I wouldn't give
But it all depends on you

Whip my bed and make me believe
That there ain't nothing could make you leave me
Honey, I ain't got much to live for

You take a line and I’ll take a pole
And we'll go down to crawdad hole
Honey, I aint got much to live for
