I think I wrote this early fall of 2010. I think it was raining,

I once had a long debate with my fellow band mates (a bleeding edge avant-garde  jazz  group called Debris) about the value of simplicity. I had put it forward as a laudable goal. They didn't quite buy it. And perhaps it was somewhat ironic coming from me given my penchant for complexity.  But more and more I've moved toward the goal of "keep it simple" and I think this song manifests that trend. The message, not at all hidden: just drive on through.

Back To the Songs

Drive On Through

Drive on through the night
Drive on through the rain
Drive on through your troubles
    and your pain

Though nothing can really answer it
And nothing quite explain
Drive on, drive on through the rain

Drive on through the night
Drive on with all your might
Though dim be the promise
Of the morning light

Tomorrow may be different
But it just might be the same
So drive on, drive on
Drive on through the rain
