Who is Frank?

Frank is a well known acoustic musician, song writer, music teacher, and pleasant dinner companion.


Frank has playing in and around the Boston areas for quite some time. He has performed with a long list of bands that include Debris, Inner Beauty, Any Two Words, The Frank Drake Band, Short Life of Trouble and The Aristocrats. These bands span a wide range of musical styles: Jazz, Pop, Rock, Punk, Traditional, Bluegrass, Swing ... well, you get the idea.

Frank is available for lessons, session work (on mandolin, mandola, acoustic and/or electric guitar, acoustic and/or electric. He is adaptable and dependable and has worked with some of the finest musicians in the northeast and can put together custom lineups to fit any event.

Every Saturday (except during the summer)  you can find Frank playing in and around the Boston area with the Bagboys, a great Bluegrass & Western Swing quintet that plays weekly at the The Burren in Davis Square.

Frank also plays at the Plough and Stars from 5 to 7 pm on the first Sunday of each month.

On the remaining Sunday Frank plays from 5-7 at Sally O'Brian's in Union Square Somerville.

Frank is also hosting a weekly bluegrass jam at the Burren on Saturdays from 2 to 4 p.m. All are welcome!
